"GLOBE" - an evening of poetry and music that crosses time and cultures. Yogi's cafe bar

Promenade Bridlington 8.00PM. Poets Helen Burke and Nigel Walker present an evening of

their favourite poems in translation. Their selections encompass a global view of

humanity, from many cultures, across thousands of years. Matthew Hogg will perform repetoire from his own and

international artists.

During the evening members of the audience will be invited to share a favourite poem of

theirs from another culture, so come prepared. You may read your favourite poem in translation or in the original

language (with an appropriate explanation). This is an evening to share the commonality of human experience as

expressed by the greatest poets in history with some great music thrown in!
