Drama at the Spotlight Theatre West St Bridlington 11th - 19th May.

Once again, local schools and drama groups from across the region, are gathering to take part in this well established and popular showcase. There will be an outstanding range of original theatre for audiences of all tastes and ages to enjoy. Participants range in age from 4 to "it's no polite to ask!". This great mix of entertainment offers something for, and by everyone - so look out for posters and fliers for further information.

Schools performing are: Bay Primary, Burlington Infants & Juniors, Leven Primary, New Pasture Lane, Martongate Primary & 6th Bridlington Guides.

Drama Groups performing are: Cresta Players, South Bank Players, Theatre on the Wolds, Kirkella, Spellbinder YT, Migrant YT, Spotlight YT, Club Drama, Purple Squirrels & MIND Drama Group.

Evening performances 7.30pm Sat and Sunday Matinees 2.30pm. Tickets available at the door. School perfs £2.50 and £1.50 conc. Drama Group perfs £3 and £2 conc.

"A Fistful of Characters" - Wednesday 14th 7.30PM

This show is a shrewd and compassionate look at real life characters in real life situations. Performed with stunning accuracy, witty, moving and highly amusing, this one man show is presented as a collection of set piece mimes; ranging from vivid studies of ordinary people to scenes involving a multitude of characters and situations, all immaculately observed.

Rowan Tolley combines classical and contemporary styles and techniques creating a show of inventive silent mime, that will entertain you with an absorbing and compelling sense of reality. Easily accessible to a mixed audience, it is "silent gesture at its loudest!"
